  1. Thanks. For most purposes I do work open water. However, this video is
    unedited and I had ten minutes of tape to work with – and hopefully put a
    fish in the boat on camera. Hence why I worked quickly and targeted
    productive areas of slop that have produced fish in the past.

  2. I wouldn’t start reeling it in as soon as it comes out of the slop… try
    pausing it when it comes out, and continue to work it longer. A couple of
    days ago I was working a frog and I did just that and one exploded on it
    about a foot past the cover. Just a tip 🙂

  3. good hookset, you will simply lose fish on the frog unless you wait a
    couple of seconds for them to take it and turn. if a fish nails your frog
    and you watch the slack move out before setting the hook, you will always
    get them.
